On Saturday 4th December, the sailing havens of Hobart and Lake Macquarie welcome SailTime to their communities. Mother Nature turned on the weather, and our Base Owners encouraged land-lubbing, sailing-loving locals down to their marinas to board the beautiful Beneteau yachts.
More than 50 interested sailors attended the launch events, with a number of memberships snapped up just in time to take advantage of the holiday period. Could you think of a more perfect way to enjoy a lazy January day then sailing a world renowned harbour with nothing but your swimming gear and a picnic required to do it in style?
Base owner Phil Duvollet had a fantastic response from the Lake Macquarie community and shared a number of images on the SailTime Australia Facebook page – check them out by clicking here.
In Hobart, Jeff Ayton and co base owner, David Pring expressed their excitement at the quality of members. "We had quite a few very interested sailors join us for the launch, who look to come on board this month. In February we're heading to the Australian Wooden Boat Festival and expect there will be a huge number of locals keen to get on board with the SailTime concept."
