SailTime Moreton Bay now open!

SailTime is up and running in Moreton Bay, Brisbane…

Yet another SailTime Base opens finally giving the people of South East Queensland the opportunity to Stop Dreaming and Start Sailing…the affordable way!

We launched SailTime Moreton Bay on 20 January 2012 and already have Matika V half full with new members. Our first boat, is a luxury Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379. With shoal draft of 1.67 metres, she is perfect for Moreton Bay's shallow draft and the wing keel means she has the performance too.

And we recently proved that she is a goer…having heard the rumours to that effect out of France…when we sailed straight past her rival design a week or so ago without a blink of an eyelid!

Having fun sailing on Moreton Bay may not be all about how fast you can go but it does add to the fun if the boat you are on sails that well! And all the quicker you will be at the Sandhills, Tangalooma or Horseshoe Bay so why not?

All the new members have been aboard for their initial induction and they all handled the boat superbly. Looks like a great group which is the norm for SailTime…it's not like chartering where you are using a boat which has had 700 people on it in the last year. We are limiting the boat to 8 members. So they all have a real interest and sense of ownership and look after her just as well as if she were their own…maybe better.

We now have the Bimini and the spray dodger all fitted….essential for this climate and they are beauties…designed and build by Dave's Custom Trimmers, the leading trimmers in Australia…(yes, it was not cheap but it is the best!)

Have a look at the photos, the Moreton Bay page on the Moreton Bay Sailtime Facebook page.
If that is not enough to convince you call Ian and Sally Heathwood, SailTime Moreton Bay Base Owners to arrange an inspection…or why not a test sail?
Call Ian on 0418199416 or email him at whilst membership on the first boat is still open.
PS: See us at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show too!
