What happen if we have bad weather?

Sailing often involves all kinds of weather in the one day and it is not uncommon to get showers while out for the day. If the wind is above 35 knots or the weather bureau predicts severe weather we will close the base and we reserve the right to reschedule your charter to a mutually agreeable alternative date.

Food and Drink

We can organise on your behalf lunches/snacks and water /non alcoholic drinks and you are welcome to bring along your own food and drink/favourite snacks. BYO alcohol is permitted but please be aware that .05 limit applies to yachts the same as cars.

PLEASE note no rigid eskys please -only the soft kind and all our vessel have a fridge on board.

Clothing and Sun Protection

All Charterers are required to wear white/ non marking soled flat footwear. Deck shoes are ideal as they are specifically designed to be non-slip on shiny boat surfaces. A hat and sunglasses with a strap are also ideal.

Even on hot sunny days life on the water can be cooler than on dry land. With this in mind it is best to bring a water proof jacket and a sweater of some kind it is also advisable to bring along a change of clothing in the event you get wet and of course your swimming gear.

The sun’s power on the water is intensified by the reflective surfaces around you. We advise all members to wear a higher factor sunscreen than you would normally.

Please note we have a plentiful supply of water on board and on sunny days it is advisable to drink more than you would normally.

All skippered charterers are asked to provide a bond of $1000 this is to cover the cost of any damage that YOU may cause such as Red wine spills, breakages and negligent use of equipment.
